ASSESSOR TRAINING

Assessors are required to undergo training in order to receive and maintain approval with the Copper Mark.  Most training modules are available below.  The Copper Mark training is focused on the assurance process and soft assessment skills, relevant industry information, and changes to standard requirements.  The Copper Mark does not train on subject-matter areas or basic auditing skills.

Training courses may be required prior to conducting an assessment against any of the Copper Mark standards, specifically required prior to conducting an assessment against the Joint Due Diligence Standard, either stand-alone or as part of an assessment against the Copper Mark Criteria, and/or once every three years as part of the ongoing training and approval process.
