Assessors

Site's conformance with the Copper Mark Criteria is independently verified by approved assessors.

Approved Assessors

The Copper Mark approves individual assessors in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Copper Mark Assurance Process.
All assessors are encouraged to consult the Copper Mark Assessor Management Procedure for detailed guidance on eligibility criteria, responsibilities, and expectations.

Qualified individuals are invited to apply for approval by completing the online application form available via the provided link. Approval is granted to senior-level professionals with demonstrated expertise relevant to the Copper Mark Assurance Process.

The Copper Mark maintains a list of currently approved individual assessors. While the Copper Mark and the Mining Association of Canada’s Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative do not approve assessment firms, firm-level information is provided for ease of reference. Approved Assessors

For details on each assessor’s geographic coverage and subject matter expertise, please contact the assessor directly or reach out to the Copper Mark.

Please note: The Copper Mark and TSM have recently consolidated their assessor pools. Both organizations now share a common list of approved individual assessors, supporting consistency and alignment across assurance frameworks.
