The Copper Mark is the leading assurance framework to promote responsible practices across the copper, molybdenum, nickel and zinc value chains. We work with companies and organisations throughout these metals’ value chains to enable them to better understand and meet the increasing demands for independently verified responsible practices, and to contribute positively to sustainable development.
We work with partners across the entire value chain to help increase the amount of responsibly produced, sourced, and recycled metal available to society, focusing on copper, as well as molybdenum, nickel and zinc.

What we do
Through our standards framework and requirements, we support our participants to identify and make on-the-ground changes to their operations. Our requirements cover all major environmental, social and governance issues to ensure our participants prevent, mitigate and remedy adverse impacts on people and the environment and contribute positively to the communities in which they operate.
Who we partner with
The Copper Mark’s participants cover key supply chain actors across mining, smelting and refining operations in the copper, molybdenum, nickel and zinc value chains. Our downstream partners include world-leading companies which use these metals in their products. Our ambition is to cover the entire value chains of these metals.
