Michèle Brülhart - 执行董事
With over 15 years of experience working on the design, implementation and independent assessment of sustainability standards, Michèle has evaluated and assisted companies at every level of the supply chain—from raw material to end product—and across multiple materials. She was previously the Director of Innovations at the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and served as the Head of Auditing at RCS Global for several years. Prior to her work at RCS Global, she held roles focused on responsible sourcing at Underwriters Laboratories, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and STR Responsible Sourcing.

Hillary Amster – Chief Operating Officer
Hillary has both strategic and operational experience in the field of corporate social responsibility throughout supply chains and across industries. Most recently, she held the position of Director of Audit Operations at the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), where she oversaw the operational and quality management of RBA’s social and supply chain audit programs, including the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process. Previously, she consulted Fortune 500 companies, advising them on the development and implementation of corporate social responsibility strategies. Hillary formerly worked at a number of international human rights organisations across the globe. She holds a law degree with a certificate in international human rights from the University of San Francisco School of Law, and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Italian Studies from Tufts University.

Greg Radford – Director of Mining
Greg is a recognised global sustainability and standards executive with three decades of experience. His management and leadership experience spans the private, public and NGO sectors. He was previously the Director of the Intergovernmental Forum of Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) and a Board Member of the Global Battery Alliance. Prior to this, positions included Director of the ESG Department at the International Finance Corporation and President of the International Association of Impact Assessment. He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling.

Mike Smith - Director of Value Chain
Mike has extensive experience working with companies, stakeholders and associations across the international metals value chain, as well as on a range of standards, regulations, and policy issues. His professional background includes over 7 years as Vice President at the International Wrought Copper Council (IWCC), the association for the copper semis fabricating industry, developing and expanding the organisation's global membership, structure and work programmes. Mike is also a co-founder of the Back British Metals Initiative, bringing together manufacturers and trade bodies to promote and develop the metals value chain. Prior to joining the IWCC, Mike led government affairs and political engagement for a number of leading international and domestic NGOs, and has served as a political aide in the UK Parliament. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Birkbeck, University of London.

Megan Leahy-Wright – Standards Lead
Megan Leahy-Wright is a sustainability and responsible sourcing specialist with over 15 years of experience advising companies, governments, NGOs, and standard-setting organisations on inclusive and sustainable value chain initiatives, with a focus on the minerals and metals sector. She has deep expertise in the design, development, implementation, and assurance of responsible mining and sourcing standards, with a strong focus on human rights and environmental due diligence frameworks and third-party certification schemes. Most recently, Megan held roles as Technical Director of Responsible Sourcing – Minerals and Metals at SLR Consulting and Head of Responsible Sourcing Advisory at RCS Global, where she guided major global companies operating in energy transition and critical minerals value chains in the design and development of responsible production and sourcing strategies, including practical uptake of standards and meaningful improvements at the site and supply-chain level. She holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mayra Diaz del Olmo Oliveira - Assessor and Responsible Supply Chains Programme Manager
Mayra has over a decade of experience working in sustainability within the mining and metals industry, across a range of roles. These include mining consultancy, social-environmental compliance, and management of industry standards. Most recently, she was the Sustainability Standards Manager at the International Tin Association (ITA), where she led the implementation of a global sustainability standard for the tin industry. Before joining ITA, Mayra held several on-the-ground roles in Peru working in a copper mine and in exploration projects related to the copper and gold industries, ensuring social-environmental compliance and promoting responsible practices. She holds an MSc by Research in Mining and Minerals Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines at the University of Exeter, an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor in Environmetal Engineering from Universidad Científica del Sur (Lima, Peru).

Stephanie Do Canto e Castro – Programme Manager, Organisational Transition
Stephanie Do Canto e Castro is a senior business operations and transformation leader with over fourteen years of experience driving strategic execution, governance design and organisational transition across complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Her background spans advisory, technology and regulated sectors, where she has worked closely with executive leadership teams to embed structured performance frameworks, strengthen compliance and risk oversight, and enable sustainable growth. Stephanie has led cross-functional change initiatives, implemented governance models, and supported organisations operating within sustainability-focused and compliance-driven contexts. She combines systems thinking with practical delivery, ensuring that strategy, standards and operational processes translate into measurable impact. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Business Communications, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business Communications from Monash University.

Caroline MacIsaac – CMSI Programme Manager
Caroline’s work experience has focused on generating long-term social and economic benefits for communities and host countries. She has sustainability and social impact experience in the fields of advisory, research, policy development, and project management. Most recently, she was a Program Officer at Mining Shared Value where she led efforts to improve local procurement transparency in the mining sector, support governments and industry to adopt stronger policies and standards, and measurement on local procurement and human rights due diligence in supply chains. She holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.

Emöke Muzs – Assurance Programme Manager
Emöke Muzs brings a distinguished record of accomplishments in sustainability and supply chain management, with a proven history of implementing impactful CSR strategies and fostering sustainable practices, to her role as Assurance Programme Manager at The Copper Mark. In her most recent role at Intertek Holding Deutschland GmbH, Emöke implemented global CSR initiatives for a German industrial engineering and steel production multinational conglomerate and was responsible for the EDGE certification scheme management. Emöke's prior experience as a Key Account Manager at Arche Advisors Inc. and Underwriter Laboratories Inc. further underscores her adeptness in navigating complex organisational terrains and delivering tangible outcomes. Her proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and overseeing sustainability projects on a global scale aligns seamlessly with The Copper Mark's objectives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management from Reading University.

Cristina M. Villegas – Programme Manager, Value Chain Platform
Cristina M. Villegas is a double award-winning mineral sector reformer and global authority on responsible mineral supply chains. She has unique field-based mineral value chain experience across 20 countries and diverse materials, gold to copper, diamonds to rubies, salt to sand. Known as an action-oriented innovator, she values positive social impact, unlocking economic opportunities, and promoting supply chain transparency. Her work and commentary have been featured in Vogue, the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, among others. In 2024, she was selected as one of the 100 Most Inspiring Women in Mining by Women in Mining UK.
Cristina divides her time across the Americas (Eastern Time Zone).
David Perri – Communications Manager
David is responsible for the Copper Mark's strategic communications planning and execution to enhance the organisation's influence, reach, and brand. He has more than 15 years of experience in communications, content creation, and journalism, with a focus on the minerals and metals sector. He previously led communications for the Intergovernmental Forum of Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development, supported the International Institute for Sustainable Development’s programme on standards and value chains, and worked as a journalist reporting and editing global mining news. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and post-graduate certifications in journalism and strategic public relations.
Kaziwa Baqi – CMSI Project Coordinator
Kaziwa has a background in public relations and operations. In her most recent role, she delivered employability and sustainability programmes to university students, supporting positive social and environmental outcomes. She holds a master’s degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Manchester.

Emily Falconer - Assurance Programme Coordinator
Emily joined the Copper Mark as Outreach & Research Intern in 2024, from which she moved to Project Coordinator, and later Assurance Programme Coordinator. It is her analytical mindset and desire to drive positive change in the mining industry that she is using to build on her foundations with the organisation. She holds a master's degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford.

Bethany Hughes-Brown – Project Coordinator
Bethany combines expertise in strategic communications and project management, with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Most recently, she worked at Innovate UK Business Connect, where she developed strategic communications for the circular critical materials supply chains and net zero programmes. She holds a BSc in Business and recently completed an MSc in Mining Environmental Management at the Camborne School of Mines. Her master’s research focused on assessing the carbon capture potential of smelter slag waste from the Zambian Copperbelt.
